  • Feature: Our focus, help a greater good

After seeing some of the comments from my last post Forums suck - Take 2, I think we should discuss the focus of this website. But first a bit of history to those of you that are new.

This community started almost 2 years ago with a forum website called dretchstorm.com. That website served the users of the Tremulous game server that we host, called the same. Eventually it evolved into "Obliter8 Groups" (o8Groups), as an attempt to fix problems with structure and off-topic posting.

  • Game Review: Warzone2100

Decent graphics for a free game. Fun plot, and I love strategy type of games. It has it's own unique twist, compared to other strategy games making it enjoyable.

    Campaign mode is pretty sweet.

  • Game Review: Socom US Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 2

Socom is a slow-paced, third-person military shooter on the PSP. The action in this game may be slow-paced, like earlier Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six games, but it still manages to be very epic and intense. You play as the commander in a squad of two people. You are Sandman, your brother in arms can be chosen between three characters: Bronco, Wraith and Lonestar.

  • Game Review: Left 4 Dead

I have owned this game since release and played each level numerous times. Lets start with the
    Con:--Counter:
    • Only four campaigns--Dynamic spawns
    • Only two campaigns available in versus--New map releases planned
    • Minor glitches that can be major problems in the game--Easy fix through an update
    • Only 6 guns--Rumor of new weapon releases

There are regular infected, your everyday quick zombie, and special infected, the mutated freaks who have achieved special powers such as a super long tongue

  • Game Review: Resistance: Fall of Man:

RfoM is an Excellent first person shooter design, in includes many Great weapons
with Realistic environments which take place in Britain, with actual landmarks.
The game has replayable campaigns against aggressive, intelligent enemies
and it has a fully featured multiplayer mode for up to 40 players. Perhaps the greatest game I ever played.

    Rewards that it holds:
    1. IGN's PlayStation 3 Game of the Year, 2006
    2. IGN's PlayStation 3 Best First-Person Shooter, 2006
    3. GameSpot's Winner of Best PlayStation 3, 2006
    4.

  • Game Review: Runescape

I played Runescape on and off for over 3 years, and there were many positive aspects of this MMORPG. While many people complain the graphics are only "subpar" compared to games like "World of Warcraft" They actually are amazingly good, considering the fact that you never have to download the game. Awesome, with a new updated with "Runescape HD" the graphics are now even EQUAL to "WoW" and other games in the eyes of many players, and viewers.
Also, the game itself can be a lot of fun, there is so much you can do. You can become a merchant, and just sell things if thats your cup of tea.

  • Game Review: Gunroar

One of the biggest selling (or downloading) points of this game are the unique visuals. The game takes place over water with a couple of tiny islands scattered around, to make up those graphics, the creator made multiple coloured squares that seem to be layered multiple times, they look great. In no time, bullets will be flying around every where, filling the screen with so many colourful shapes (a la Geometry Wars) that a baby would look away, plus those red laser beams coming from your enemies add some nice rave-party style.
